The R&B singer had been scheduled to perform in Colombo, Sri Lanka last December. It didn't happen.
A Sri Lankan concert promoter is suing Ne-Yo for refusing to return his advance after dropping out of a show in the South Asian country.
The lawsuit, filed on Sept. 4 and obtained by Billboard, targets Ne-Yo, the R&B singer’s company Compound Touring and his booking agency Independent Artist Group (IAG).
A spokesperson for Ne-Yo told Billboard on Friday (Sept. 11) that the claims in the lawsuit are “categorically fraudulent and misleading,” and that Brown Boy is actually the one that owes money for the bungled contract.
