Pulp announce one-off hometown pop-up at Hallamshire Hotel to celebrate Sheffield Walk Of Fame

Pulp anunciou um pop‑up único que acontecerá mais tarde nesta semana no Hallamshire Hotel, celebrando a inclusão do nome deles na Sheffield Walk Of Fame.

  1. Uche Yara’s body music is defiantly human: “I have no choice but to wear my heart on my sleeve”.
  2. De La Soul’s Posdnuos: “Tupac saved me from getting beat up in the Bay Area”.
  3. Pulp on their full circle moment with the Mercury Prize and Brian Eno nearly throwing their prize money away.
  4. Taika Waititi’s ‘Klara And The Sun’ soundtrack proves his indie kid credentials.

Whiskey, 'Widow’s Bay' e Johnny Cash: como a trilha sonora 'dark folk' de 'Marvel’s Wolverine' se juntou.

The homecoming event will see the band taking over the Hallamshire Hotel on West Street all day on October 30 to celebrate them being added to the Sheffield Walk Of Fame outside the Town Hall – joining names including Gordon Banks, Joe Cocker, Jessica Ennis and Sean Bean.

To mark the occasion, the indie icons are holding a special pop-up event nearby. It will see Nick Banks and Candida Doyle visit the Hallamshire Hotel to take part in a special meet and greet from midday until 1pm, and the pub will also be decorated in posters and artwork from the Pulp vault.

Uma loja pop‑up também estará disponível no local, oferecendo uma linha exclusiva de camisetas, pôsteres, discos e mais, todos em edição limitada. Estará aberta das 12h às 20h, ou até que o estoque acabe.

At 2pm, Pulp are added to the Walk Of Fame, and the pop-up will take place just around the corner on West Street.

The Sheffield pop-up event comes on the heels of Pulp dropping ‘More’ – their first album in 24 years – last summer, and later releasing a new concert film, What Do You Do For An Encore?, which captured their two sold-out shows at The O2 in London last summer.

Last month, Pulp spoke to us about the film, as well as the unique DNA and history of the band, and what the future holds for them.

As for when to expect a new album, he said: “I don’t know. That’s the good thing about music: you don’t know where it’s going to take you, but hopefully it could take us somewhere good.”.

Cocker and co. were also shortlisted for the 2026 Mercury Prize alongside records by the likes of Suede, Jade, Kojey Radical, Nia Archives and Florence & The Machine, but ultimately lost to Raye’s ‘This Music May Contain Hope‘.
