Change The Beat has announced a new remix competition for women and gender expansive artists in electronic music.
Participants have been invited to remix Sara Landry and Alex Farell’s ‘Angel Dust’ and they have a number of prizes on offer. Remixes are to be submitted here.
The winner of the competition will have their remix officially released on Landry’s HEKATE Records. They will also receive a Komplete 15 Collector’s Edition from Native Instruments, with whom Sydney Blu founded Change The Beat.
Whoever comes second place will receive a Komplete 15 Ultimate and third place receiving Komplete 15 Standard. Participants can also access Native Instruments’ Komplete Start, a free collection of instruments and effects.
In a statement, Sydney Blu commented: “We’re so excited at Change the Beat to be hosting the remix contest for Sara Landry and Alex Farell’s incredible record, ‘Angel Dust’, and to have the opportunity to discover and spotlight three amazing emerging women producers through this project.
The competition is open to anyone who identifies as female or gender expansive from anywhere in the world. Submissions are open until Monday, 5th October, 2026 at 23:59 PST.
Change The Beat also announced plans for an international tour across the US, Canada, and Europe. Each stop on the tour will combine live music, workshops, industry panels, and artist development opportunities.
So far, confirmed dates, include spots at fabric in London, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), and Marquee New York.
This is the latest step in Change The Beat’s ongoing mission to increase gender equity following July’s pledge to create 300 label opportunities for women and gender expansive artists by 2028.
