The warm synths in MPH & Skrillex’s buoyant ‘Mirage’ break through right on time, offering a melodic respite from an otherwise fervent workout that samples Red Rat’s 2009 dancehall stomper ‘Shelly-Ann’ across a swervy path only these two could blaze.
Almost as soon as the uplifting chords emerge they dissolve back into a dizzying low end, leaving the listener to question: was it real?
