Megan Thee Stallion has joined the Interscope family. The Houston Hottie announced on Friday (Aug. 14) that she’s inked a distribution partnership deal with Interscope Records and her Hot Girl Productions company.
Megan will maintain ownership of her masters and publishing while releasing future music independently through Hot Girl Productions with “global distribution and strategic support” from Interscope, according to a press release.

The 31-year-old rapper departs from Warner Music Group after signing an “innovative agreement” with the label in February 2024. The unique partnership also allowed Megan to keep ownership of her masters and publishing while utilizing UMG’s distribution and services ranging from music promotion to global marketing.
Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the first superstar to make the leap from WMG to Interscope this year, as Ed Sheeran joined Interscope in July.
New music from Megan Thee Stallion appears to be on the horizon, as she’s continued to tease her upcoming Act: III album, which she said marks the return of her Tina Snow alter-ego.

The Houston Hottie’s last album arrived in June 2024 with Megan, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 64,000 total album-equivalent units, according to Luminate.
She didn’t waste much time returning with the Act: II deluxe in October of the same year.
Earlier in August, Megan Thee Stallion banked her first Diamond plaque for her 2020 “WAP” collaboration with Cardi B. “WOWW omg diamond sisterrr thank you for having me,” she wrote on X.
To date, Megan has three No. 1 hits and 43 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. All three of her albums have peaked inside the Billboard 200’s top five.
