Kevin Morby Drops New Song “PBJ” and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Flavor

The jangly “PBJ” is about opening yourself up to the world, and there by his side to bring that emotion into focus are Justin Vernon on guitar, Aaron Dessner on bass and guitar, and Andrew Barr on drums.

The origin story behind the song’s title is almost as good as the song itself. “Once, long ago, a friend described the act of driving with the windows down while still blasting the air conditioning as ‘Peanut Butter Jelly,’” explains Morby.

I also love a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (and all its variations) and so this is a very fun song for me. An end of summer song. Listen to it with the windows down…and the air conditioning up.”.
