The British indie icon will return with his sixth full-length effort later this year.

Jamie T is digging up the past with Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning), his sixth studio album, due Oct. 9 via Polydor Records.

The 11-track effort sees Wimbledon-born songwriter reckoning with the passage of time and the nostalgia of the ‘00s indie era, according to a press release. The album, he says, is about confronting the parts of yourself that can become ghosts, and the memories left behind along the way.

Speaking about the album, the artist (born Jamie Treays) said: “Everyone has a part of themselves they keep at arm’s length, even from the people they love. Ghosts to me is about seeing that version of yourself for the first time in a long time and trying to hold on to it.

This album is me trying to find that again.” Related 'Lost Weekend' In Space: How Artists Like Phoebe Bridgers Turn Planetariums Into Music Venues Madonna Celebrates 68th Birthday by Dancing, Breaking Plates and Feeding Cats Remi Wolf Announces New Single 'Bottle' and Upcoming Album 'Mud': 'It Has Been a Very Cleansing Record to Make For Me' Explore Jamie T See latest videos, charts and news.

Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning) follows Jamie’s 2022 album The Theory Of Whatever, which debuted at No. 1 on the Official U. K. Albums Chart. Since then, he has played his biggest-ever headline show at London’s Finsbury Park the following year (July 1), with support from IDLES and Kojey Radical, and also worked with Fred Again.

on synth-heavy single “Lights Burn Dimmer,” which samples and reworks Jamie’s own 2023 track “Hippodrome.”.

Speaking to Radio 1’s Jack Saunders on Wednesday (Aug. 19), Jamie described the collaboration as a “big deal” to him. “That song, when I wrote it, I hadn’t realised until I heard Fred’s version how much hope was in the lyrics.

I felt quite emotional when I heard Fred’s version, and his spin on it. That was really helpful for me, as I wrote that song at quite a difficult time in my life.

To see it turned into a more euphoric thing was really quite lovely.”.

Jamie is set to preview his forthcoming LP at an intimate one-off gig at London’s Scala on Thursday (Aug. 20). It will mark his first headline live performance since the 40,000-capacity Finsbury Park show, though he also briefly appeared on stage with Fred Again.

back in February as part of the producer’s USB002 tour residency at Alexandra Palace.

Since emerging with his Mercury Prize-nominated debut Panic Prevention in 2007, Jamie has released four more LPs, all of which have landed in the top 10 of the Official U.

K. Albums Chart. He has performed at Glastonbury Festival several times, including a celebrated headline slot on the Woodsies Stage in 2022.
