Bruce Springsteen has two new albums on the way

The Boss’s last album was 2022’s ‘Only The Strong Survive’, which saw him cover soul classics from his youth.

Now, he’s revealed that he has two new albums in the works – one of which is completed and another he’s still working on, but that he would like to release first.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Springsteen said: “I’m currently working on a couple of records. I did finish one, and it is done. I’m in the process of working on this other one, which, because of the nature of the material, felt like it should come out first.

In a four-star review of ‘Only The Strong Survive’, NME said it sees Springsteen “resurrecting these classics as a means of celebration, pointing back to some of the strongest songwriters and vocalists of all time with 15 huge and heartfelt tributes”.

Springsteen recently shared a ‘Philadelphia Freedom Cut’ from his ‘Land Of Hope And Dreams’ American tour, which captures footage of his live show.

It comes from his show in Philadelphia on May 30, which was filmed in its entirety, and is set to be released in four segments.

In other Bruce Springsteen news, last month the songwriting legend joined Bleachers on stage during their recent Asbury Park gig to perform ‘Jersey Girl’ and ‘Chinatown’.

Before then, he made a surprise appearance during Bon Jovi’s Madison Square Garden show, joining them for ‘Who Says You Can’t Go Home’ and ‘The Promised Land’.

The Boss também revelou que sua esposa e colega da E Street Band, Patti Scialfa, está em remissão do câncer. “Como vocês sabem, Patti tem vivido com seu mieloma múltiplo há mais de oito anos, mas agora, graças a Deus, ela está em remissão,” ele disse.

Scialfa discutiu publicamente pela primeira vez seu diagnóstico de 2018 no documentário de 2024 Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band, explicando que a condição havia enfraquecido seu sistema imunológico e levado a aparições limitadas em sua turnê.
