The DJ stepped away from the decks to perform the ‘Halo Infinite’ theme on a full drum kit.
Zedd surprised fans at his Zedd In The Park event in New York City this weekend by taking to the drums for a cover of the ‘Halo’ video game theme.
Midway through his set, the DJ stepped behind a full drum kit to perform a rendition of Gareth Coker’s ‘The Road’, the theme from the 2021 edition of the game, ‘Halo Infinite’.
The set was the first Zedd In The Park in New York after four years in the Los Angeles State Historic Park near downtown LA. Joining him on the bill for the inaugural East Coast edition were DJ Snake, Dillon Francis, Mesto, Louis The Child, Knock2, Porter Robinson, Madeon, Ellis and zensei ゼンセー.
Zedd began his music career as a drummer, playing in metal band Dioramic before moving into electronic music. He has since returned to the instrument for a number of live performances, including the 2017 Chester Bennington tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl and John Mayer’s surprise set at Coachella in 2025.
Zedd came in at No. 44 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll last year.
Earlier this year, Zedd launched a “space-club experience” rollercoaster at Universal Studios Japan.
