Dimoldenberg fired back: “Well, you might not be around.” Noel replied: “In 16 years? What are you trying to say? That’s not very nice.”.
Later, Gallagher was pressed on what makes a comeback feel “natural and not desperate”. He responded: “You’ve just got to hope that you can do whatever it is you’re trying to do as well as you once did it.
And in the case of Oasis, it became apparent after maybe a week in rehearsals that it was gonna be as good, if not better, than it ever was.”.
As for his advice for working alongside a brother or sister, he said: “I think you’ve got to be prepared just to compromise, which is something I’m not ordinarily very good at.
But I think it gets better as you get older.”.
The musician revealed how his perception of Oasis’ Live ’25 closer ‘Champagne Supernova’ had changed over the years: “It was nonsensical in the ’90s, and then it’s taken on more meaning for a new generation.
Quero dizer, ainda não tenho ideia do que 'Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball' significa. Acho que é uma referência a drogas.
Earlier, Gallagher hit out at vegetarians and vegans (“Fuck those guys”), responded to rumours that he doesn’t wear underwear on stage, described himself as a “low-key” rock star, and discussed what keeps him humble.
Gallagher told Dimoldenberg about his relationship with previous Chicken Shop Date guest Paul McCartney (“He calls me Nolo”), talked about his beloved Manchester City’s controversial victory over Manchester United last month, and revealed he once “bought a life-size cardboard cutout” of Matthew McConaughey.
Outros convidados de grande nome anteriores incluem Dave, Billie Eilish, Central Cee, Andrew Garfield, Cher, Little Simz, Louis Theroux e Jack Harlow.
Oasis will embark on their huge Live ’27 tour next year. The forthcoming sold-out run was expanded due to “phenomenal demand” last month, and includes six concerts at Knebworth and an 11-night residency at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.
Fans have since been talking about the possibility of new material from Oasis and sharing their thoughts on how the setlist could change from 2025. Elsewhere, frontman Liam Gallagher said he “can’t see us touring again unless we have new music”.
He previously explained that Live ’27 “isn’t a farewell tour but it still could be our last”.
The new documentary film Don’t Look Back In Anger was released in cinemas on September 9, and is now streaming on Disney+. In a four-and-a-half-star review, NME said the movie was “masterfully done, with moments of irreverence and intense passion burning throughout”.
NME spoke to Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight about his work on the big-screen project. “The question I wanted to answer with this film was: why, after 16 years with no promotion and no marketing, is this music bigger than it’s ever been?” he said.
In other news, the filmmakers have explained why the documentary doesn’t show how Noel and Liam made up after their long feud.
