The National’s Matt Berninger Releases Type It Up EP and New Video

O Matt Berninger, da banda The National, lançou um novo EP, *Type It Up*, que inclui covers de “Blue Monday”, do New Order, e “Who Loves the Sun”, do Velvet Underground, este último com a participação de Rosanne Cash.

O lançamento, sucessor do álbum *Get Sunk* de ano passado, também traz o single recente de Berninger, “Martini Me Fatso”, e um novo, “Ask for Water”, que você pode ouvir abaixo em um vídeo de Chris Sgroi.

Na música ‘Type It Up’ (originalmente intitulada ‘Black Letter Font’), as pessoas estavam interpretando mal a letra, ‘That would look good in a black letter font’, como ‘I would look good in a black leather thong’, então decidi trocar o refrão.

Both of the aforementioned covers received standalone releases this year: “Blue Monday” was an Amazon Music Original track and “Who Loves the Sun” debuted on the Australian television show Sunny Nights.
