Lenae acknowledged that the postponement may come as a letdown to fans but assured them that she plans to make her return to the stage worthwhile.
The Blue Island tour was originally set to begin Sept. 15 in Sacramento, Calif., before traveling through cities including Oakland, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Chicago, Washington D.
C., Toronto, Raleigh, Memphis, Dallas, Austin and Phoenix. A Los Angeles date at the Greek Theatre was scheduled for Oct. 21, with Lexa Gates and Nourished By Time among the artists announced as supporting acts on select dates.
Lenae did not provide a specific reason for the postponement. She did, however, confirm that fans who have already purchased tickets will receive refunds.
The announcement comes less than three weeks after Lenae released Blue Island on Aug. 7. The album follows her 2024 sophomore set Bird’s Eye, which included her first Billboard Hot 100 hit “Love Me Not.”.
Lenae’s representatives offered no additional comments for Billboard at the time of publishing.
For now, Lenae has not announced new dates for the tour, but she promised fans that she plans to bring the Blue Island show to them in the new year.
