As summer reaches its peak, Mia Moretti’s ‘GET READY!’ EP arrives like an Aperol Spritz on a blazing afternoon — zesty to start, and effervescent throughout. Uffie’s playful contributions on ‘backseat baby’ kick off the flirty affair, but the clear standout is ‘Want You Know’, a sexy, discofied cut with intoxicating skips that sparkle and shine.
The package turns sensuous in ‘EVERYBODY’, a strummin’ collaboration with Blakkat featuring a sultry Vonita White, and despite its all-caps stylization, the title track is among the bunch’s more understated — more of a smooth segue toward the key-laced closer, ‘Desire’, which oozes with loungey, atmospheric goodness down to the last drop.
It’s a well-balanced collection that captures the LA-producer’s familiar fun flavors. Shall we order another.
