Johnny Marr has shared his new single ‘It’s Time’, which sees him take on “assholes with dodgy views”. Check it out below.

The track marks the latest taste from his upcoming fifth solo album ‘The Age Of Everything‘ which is due for release on October 2. So far, Marr has already shared ‘Spin’ and ‘Ophelia‘.
The music video for ‘It’s Time’ was filmed earlier this year at Johnny’s biggest headline show of his solo career – his sold-out homecoming gig at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl.
Last year saw Marr drop a new live LP, ‘Look Out Live!’. The project comprises 22 tracks recorded at the Eventim Apollo in London as part of his ‘Spirit Power’ live tour in 2024.
More recently, he contributed to Gorillaz‘ latest album ‘The Mountain’, and made an appearance with the band in London last September. Marr worked on the star-studded ‘Help(2)’ charity album for War Child, too.
He released a ‘best-of’ compilation in 2023, featuring a new track titled ‘Somewhere’.
In other news, earlier this month, Morrissey and Marr both helped to create a rare new seven-inch release from The Smiths, as part of an upcoming Rough Trade boxset.
The legendary London independent label will release its second volume of newly printed classic singles, titled ‘Rough Trade 45s: Volume 2’, on October 30. It will comprise tracks from The Fall, Aztec Camera, Mazzy Star, Scritti Politti, Robert Wyatt and more, and the boxset will be limited to just 1000 copies, released on October 30.
