Chris Brown’s Ex-Housekeeper Accepts $9.5M Verdict in Dog Attack Case, Down From $13M

A judge had said Maria Avila could either retry her claims or walk away with a reduced award. She chose option two.

Brown aceitou alguma responsabilidade pelo incidente, mas afirmou que Avila foi parcialmente culpada, testemunhando durante o julgamento que ele a alertou especificamente para não sair sozinha devido ao cão hostil, Hades.

Judge Cotton ruled Tuesday that Brown got a fair trial overall, rejecting the singer’s argument that jurors were biased because they heard mention of his infamous 2008 assault of Rihanna.

The singer is currently on the road with Usher for their co-headlining R&B Tour. A portion of his profits have been earmarked for paying Avila’s judgment.
