According to Norfolk Police, Oush’s death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.

Tributes are being paid to Ibiza DJ Santana Oush, aka Santanna Maria Ally, who sadly died at this year’s Houghton Festival in Norfolk.

Ally, aged 38, was found unconscious in a tent on Sunday 9th August, the final day of the four-day festival. Despite the efforts of the on-site medical team, she was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.

An inquest into Ally’s death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court in Norwich on 18th August, according to The Times. Norfolk Police had previously said the circumstances were unexplained, but were not being treated as suspicious.

Houghton Festival issued a statement following the death, before Ally was publicly identified. A spokesperson for the festival said: “We are deeply saddened to confirm that a person has passed away at Houghton 2026.

Our thoughts are entirely with their family and loved ones at this difficult time.”.

London-born Ally was a fixture of Ibiza’s electronic music scene, working across DJing, promotion and vocals. She performed regularly at venues and parties across the island, including Pikes, elrow, [UNVRS], La Discothèque, Akasha and 528, and shared line-ups with artists including KI/KI, Kölsch and Confidence Man.

Ally was perhaps best known for OuShe, the platform and party series she founded to support women in electronic music. Starting in Ibiza, the project went on to host events in London and Biarritz, alongside DJ workshops and other initiatives.

In 2025, OuShe expanded into radio with its own show on Ibiza Sonica Radio. Ally also headed up an open mic night at Las Dalias de Ibiza.

Writing in his own post, DJ and producer Bushwacka added: “A tragic loss, Santanna Oush brought so much love and laughter to many of us.”.

Her friend Marcus Eppy has launched a JustGiving page to help cover her funeral costs. It has so far raised almost £9,000, well above its original £3,500 target.

In an update posted on August 19th, Eppy wrote, “I would like to thank each and everyone that has donated and continued donations, it shows just how much Santanna was loved and the impact she had on everyone’s life and still does.

From the bottom of ours family’s heart we thank you all.”.
