Burglars stole £30,000 worth of equipment and stock in a "devastating" break-in at Peckham club Tola.
The South London venue, renovated earlier this year, reported thieves had stolen all the DJ equipment, sound system components, the till system including card readers and a few grand in alcohol and bar stock, as well as caused significant damage to the building in a break-in on 27th August.
Club co-founder Tom Broadbent revealed in a second statement that, "frustratingly", insurance won't be covering any costs, "which makes the financial blow from this devastating for us.
Like all small venues and businesses, we've been through a lot over the last few years", Broadbent said, "but this isn't going to be something we can absorb on our own.
