A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting at a Aarau techno event on 30th August.
Police have arrested a 43-year-old man following a fatal shooting at a rave in Aarau, outside Zurich, on Sunday, 30th August.
The Aarau cantonal police made the arrest in the early hours of 31st August following a near 24-hour manhunt. Police believe one person opened fire at the techno event at an Aarau horse-racing track at 2:30 AM local time, according to earlier BBC reporting.
22-year-old Italian woman Maria Spinelli was killed in the shooting, while five others were injured – four men and one woman, aged between 24 to 27, BBC News reports.
Organisers continued: "Our thoughts are with the victims and their families and friends. We offer our sincere condolences. Our thanks go to the police and emergency services.
As organizers, we will do everything in our power to support the police in their work.
