Audrey Nuna has dropped the bold new single ‘superHuman’ – her first solo release in two years.
The single is the first solo release from the Grammy-nominated Korean-American artist and songwriter since she dropped ‘Trench’ in 2024, and reached new artistic heights by providing the singing voice of Mira in the hit film KPop Demon Hunters.
Now looking to channel that momentum back into her own music, she has released the standalone single via Republic Records, and it embraces themes of redemption, validation and more.
Made alongside renowned producer Cirkut (Rihanna, Lady Gaga), ‘superHUman’ keeps with Nuna’s theme of blending genres, and incorporates bold nods to rap, pop, and R&B as she belts the line “Hey world, hit me with whatever you got”.
“‘SuperHuman’ is a portal,” the singer shared. “I wrote this song in a time in my life where a lot was changing very quickly, and I felt more perceived by the world than I ever had before.
The single comes in collaboration with Riot Games and marks Nuna’s second collaboration with VALORANT – serving as an official track for the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour.
Last month, Nuna launched her solo live show at Rock in Rio Lisboa, and since then has gone on to make appearances at Summerfest, Open’er Festival, Roskilde Festival, Ruisrock and more.
The live shows continue this month with two shows at Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival, a slot at Frequency Festival in Austria, and Pukkelpop in Belgium. Visit here for tickets.
That same year, her album ‘A Liquid Breakfast’ dropped and was given a glowing four-star review from NME.
As for Kpop Demon Hunters, the huge success of the film has continued for over a year now, and it was recently confirmed that it has been watched more than twice as many times as Netflix‘s next most popular film.
It amassed a further 130million views during the first half of 2026 alone, has inspired sold-out singalong screenings, a McDonald’s collaboration, a forthcoming Criterion Blu-ray and plans for a global concert tour.
A sequel has also been confirmed, although it is not currently expected to arrive until 2029.
The film contained the hit single ‘Golden’, which NME included among the 50 best songs of 2025, praising the track’s “melodic potency” and its ability to stand out amid the year’s abundance of viral hits.
In May, the singing stars of KPop Demon Hunters offered an emotional rebuke of the music industry while accepting the Women Of The Year award at the 2026 Billboard Women In Music event.
“From when I first started releasing music back in 2019 to this moment now, I really never identified with the boxes that Korean American women were expected to fit into. And quite frankly, I didn’t even know how to even begin to try to fit into those boxes,” Nuna shared.
