The Oxford star and outdoor lifestyle brand created a space onsite, featuring on-site merch printing, fan portraits, and prizes, followed by a two-hour headline set from Virji featuring a guest appearance from Skepta.
Sammy Virji teamed up with Salomon to create a space at his curated Finsbury Park show on Friday. The link-up formed part of the DJ and producer’s ongoing partnership with the outdoor lifestyle brand, further signalling its movement into dance music culture.
Giving fans a chance to step into Virji’s world, the space featured a wall of records from some of his favourite artists, alongside exclusive Salomon merch printed by the artist himself, a photo area and a claw machine stocked with prizes including records and Salomon trainers.
The Oxford-born DJ and producer led the activities, helping to print bandanas, taking photos with fans, and signing merch. He later closed the event with a two-hour headline set, during which he played a typically high-energy suite of garage bangers, and brought out Skepta to perform their collaborative hit ‘Cops & Robbers’, alongside other tracks.
Virji curated the full event line-up, which included Two Faced, Club Angel, Oppidan, Malugi, Jaguar, Soul Mass Transit System, Pretty Girl, and ESC.
The activation marked the latest stage of Virji’s partnership with Salomon, which began earlier this year around his headline show at London’s Alexandra Palace.
The partnership forms part of Salomon’s ‘Shaping New Futures’ platform, which focuses on the brand’s growing involvement on the ground in music and club culture.
