Here’s Everyone Kanye West Brought Out at His Homecoming Chicago Show

Last night, Ye—AKA Kanye West—returned to Chicago for his first hometown show since 2021. After numerous international show cancellations, a ban from the UK, and allegations that his most recent album, Bully, was made with AI, Ye’s homecoming marked one of his more highly-anticipated performances in recent years.

In turn, the first of his two nights at Soldier Field featured a bevy of old hits and some notable special guests. Watch clips from the night and check out the full setlist below.

Among last night’s guest were Big Sean, whom Ye signed to his G. O. O. D. Music label in 2007. (The two later had a falling-out.) The duo performed their 2012 track “Clique,” before Big Sean played his solo hit “IDFWU.” Later, they were joined by 2 Chainz for “Mercy.” Future also popped out for a few songs towards the end of the night, performing his tracks “Keep it Burnin” and “Fuck Up Some Commas” with Ye.

But Chicago locals were likely the most excited when Ye brought out Twista, a Windy City legend who appeared on some of Ye’s earliest hits. Together, the pair performed their collaborations “Overnight Celebrity,” from Twista’s 2004 LP Kamikaze, and “Slow Jamz” from The College Dropout.

Ye put on his first U. S. show in five years at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium in April, and has slowly returned to performing stateside in the months since. He’s recently held shows in Tampa, San Antonio, and New Orleans.

Internationally, a number of shows on this tour—including dates in London, Marseille, Prague, and Chorzów, Poland—have been cancelled over Ye’s history of antisemitic remarks.
