Fred again.. and LATIN MAFIA have dropped a mini-doc offering a glimpse into the live-streamed recording process behind their recent mixtape.
The '9 months & 50 hours’ mixtape was created in Mexico City in late July.
Made by a mutual collaborator called froggy, the ‘making a mixtape with latin mafia and staying here until we finish it’ mini-doc summarises the process behind the '9 months & 50 hours’ release that was created over the course of three days in late July.
I just watched it back and it’s really crazy to be reminded of all of these beautiful memories. It feels like it kinda lasted years and was sorta on a different planet.
I really wont ever forget it, I hope we get to do something like this again one day," Fred again.. wrote in the accompanying caption.
In July, the UK star joined the Mexican R&B trio in Bosque de Chapultepec, Mexico City for the project, during which they conceived a whole mixtape in three days and broadcast the full process during a non-stop livestream.
The livestream began on 28th July at LagoAlgo, a cultural centre in Mexico City’s Chapultepec Park, with Fred again.. and LATIN MAFIA recording the project live until it was wrapped up on 30th July.
Following the release of the mixtape in early August, the collaborators played a surprise gig at Palacio De Los Deportes in Mexico City, with the sibling trio having first joined Fred again.
on stage in Mexico last December as part of his USB0002 tour.
The mini-doc follows the 35-minute under the fabric film that captures a spontaneous live session the artists recorded together in Mexico City last December around the time of the USB0002 tour.
Earlier this summer, Fred again.. soundtracked Dior’s menswear show in Paris that featured music from LATIN MAFIA.
