David Byrne releases ‘Who Is The Sky?’ expanded edition with two new songs

The former Talking Heads frontman originally released his latest solo album in September 2025, his first studio record since 2018’s ‘American Utopia‘. It featured contributions from Hayley Williams, St.

To mark its one year annivesary, Byrne has shared an expanded version featuring four bonus tracks including new single ‘My Madness’, which you can listen to below and previous single ¿Cuál Es La Razón.

He continued: “So here’s my most recent album now expanded with 2 songs that were cut, not because they weren’t good (I hope) but to give the initial album a nice variety of grooves and subjects.

My Madness – this is one of my personal favourites – the singer imagines their “madness” as a separate entity from themselves, one that they come to love, understand and respect.

Byrne is also set to release his new book Sleeping Beauties, on October 8 (pre-order it here).

Published by Penguin Random House, the book centres on philosophical questions including why some ideas are considered ahead of their time and naturally move back into the spotlight when the world is ready for them.
