Last year, the Manchester, Tennessee festival was abruptly cancelled, with organisers saying an updated weather forecast had shown unsustainable conditions for on-site campers, with heavy thunderstorms occurring throughout the area.
In a post recently shared to their social media channels, Bonnaroo organisers explained that the extreme conditions experienced over the past few years led to them deciding to take a break in 2027 so that the festival grounds can recover.
They added that “this wasn’t an easy decision, and not one we take lightly, but in our hearts, we know this break will only make Bonnaroo better.”.
