The 12-month accelerator returns to provide funding, guidance and in-person development opportunities for early-career electronic music artists.

Returning now for its third consecutive year, the annual 12-month career accelerator programme provides access to funding, networking opportunities, workshops and mentorship to a selection of promising electronic music artists.

Each awardee will receive up to £3,000 toward a chosen music project, alongside 1-2-1 business advice from industry experts and online meet-ups with other awardees and industry figures.

Participants will also be invited to a one-day, expenses-covered peer and industry mixer event in London.

First launched in 2024 in response to findings from Musicians’ Census that highlighted increased barriers for musicians working in dance and electronic music, the collaborative programme from leading UK music charity Help Musicians in association with DJ Mag is open to electronic artists hoping to take the next step in their careers, be that creating their debut EP, stepping into production, or mapping out their first tour.

Applications are open to artists based in the UK who already earn 40% of their income through music, while adjusted eligibility criteria apply for musicians with a long-term health condition and/or disability.

Entrants are open to artists working in all spheres of electronic music, from house, techno and drum & bass to grime, amapiano, ambient and beyond.

The application shortlist will be chosen by a panel of industry experts from across the electronic music ecosystem, with further industry talent offering in-person support throughout the programme.

Applications are open from now until 5 PM on Friday 25th September. Apply via the Help Musicians website.

Over 20 artists have benefited from Help Musicians and DJ Mag’s Electronic Music Award since it launched in 2024. Recipients of the 2025 award included dogheadsurigeri, Yasmin Rai, BITEZ, Mount Palamore and SO SHA.

2024’s recipients included Bristol-based artist NGAIO, who was supported in developing a new live set and remix EP; Manchester-based producer PERiiSU, who used the funding to complete the mixing and mastering of her 12-track debut, and Meg Ward, who has been busy progressing her recently launched Mega Wavy label.
