Local authorities in Istanbul have reportedly revoked permission for the artist's ÆDEN tour stop in the city later this month.

Anyma's upcoming ÆDEN tour show in Istanbul has reportedly been cancelled.

As Turkish Minute reports, the decision came from the İstanbul Governor’s Office after the circulation of a number of posts on social media that claimed that the Italian electronic artist's live shows contained visuals linked to "satanic rituals.

The Afterlife boss had been due to debut his audiovisual show at the city's Ataköy Marina Arena on 12th September. Permission for the event to take place has now reportedly been withdrawn after local campaigners called for it to be cancelled while sharing clips from the ÆDEN world tour via platforms like X.

While no official statement has been made by Istanbul Governor’s Office, a comment obtained by Turkey-based independent fact-checking organisation Teyit 1 from Provincial Press and Public Relations Director Emin Gökçegözoğlu confirmed the show's cancellation due to its alleged "satanic elements.

Neither Anyma nor his management team have publicly commented on the show's cancellation. As Teyit 1 reports, tickets for the show are still available to purchase via the Passo platform.

On 3rd September, the ticketing platform was still giving automatic messages when called which stated that the show was still going ahead as planned, and that ticketholders would be informed of any changes to that.

Similar bans on shows in Turkey have happened several times in recent years. Irish post-rock group God Is An Astronaut had a gig at Istanbul's Ataköy Marina Arena cancelled just hours before it was due to start earlier this year after they were accused of promoting Satanism in their music and/or stage show.

The ÆDEN tour and Anyma’s [UNVRS] Ibiza residency through this summer follow the release of the deluxe version of his ‘The End Of Genesys’ LP last December. The record included the EJAE-featuring single 'Out Of My Body.
