AlphaTheta has issued a warning to users about a security vulnerability related to the use of PRO DJ LINK in rekordbox, as well as a number of its CDJ and XDJ products.
The company said it is working on a fix but would not disclose further technical details until a solution is in place, to prevent the flaw from being exploited.
The company is currently preparing an update and will provide further information as it becomes available.
AlphaTheta said it had not identified any confirmed cases of the vulnerability being exploited, but urged users to take precautions. These include updating to the latest version of rekordbox, avoiding USB or SD cards containing sensitive data when using PRO DJ LINK, and using a secure, password-protected network when connecting products via Wi-Fi.
Last month, AlphaTheta announced a new all-in-one DJ unit, the XDJ-AN, as well as a new multi-player, the CDJ-1500 X.
