Six of the 17 organizations are first-time grantees, including the Atlantic Music Project, Brooklyn Youth Sports Club, Classical Pride and Generator. Over the course of the next five years, the fund will build 75 prison libraries across the U.
The rest of the new grantees will feature Global Black Economic Forum, Black Lives in Music, The Hip Hop Museum, Jazz Power Initiative, African Leadership Academy, Civil Rights Corps, Julian, ARK Reproductive Justice Now!, StopWatch and the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute.
