Liam Gallagher says Oasis’ ‘Live ’27’ “isn’t a farewell tour but it still could be our last”

The Manchester Britpop icons are heading back on the road next year for stadium shows across the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and the US, following on from their Live ’25 reunion trek.

Liam and Noel Gallagher had already confirmed five nights at Glasgow’s Celtic Park, an 11-date residency at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium – home to their beloved Manchester City FC – a pair of concerts at Ireland’s Slane Castle, and a four-night return to Knebworth.

Following unprecedented demand for tickets, they have since added more dates to the tour, including an extra two performances at Knebworth taking place on September 25 and 26.

It is still a while until shows kick off, but Oasis have already shared information on transport, camping, hospitality and accessibility plans for their big Knebworth gigs, and Noel has promised that the Live ’27 performances will be “so much better” than the 2025 comeback shows.

On X/Twitter, the frontman responded to a fan who had seemingly made peace with the idea that he may not be “lucky” enough to get tickets to Live ‘27, and would be “pleased” for those who do regardless.

That uncertainty that there could be more shows after Live ‘27 echoes what Noel said in an interview with TalkSPORT when the tour was first announced. During the interview, he was asked by the host if he could imagine doing anything else as part of Oasis after the new dates wrap up, to which he bluntly replied: “I don’t know”.

While Noel didn’t seem fully convinced by lining up more mammoth Oasis tour dates after 2027, it is worth noting that he made similar comments about slowing down with touring back in 2015 – saying at the time that he was considering retiring within the next decade.

Also in that new interview with TalkSPORT, Noel also revealed that the band had settled on the idea of another tour early into last year’s trek after seeing the massive response.

As excitement mounts, fans have been talking about the possibility of new material from Oasis, sharing their thoughts on how the setlist could change from 2025, and speculating about a Glasto 2027 slot (which Emily Eavis has now shot down).

There have also been warnings about scams being put in place already for the ticket sale.
