Both the host city and location for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest have been revealed – check out all the details below.
The 71st edition of the competition is taking place in Bulgaria next year, after Dara secured the first-ever Eurovision win for the country this May with the track ‘Bangaranga’.
Agora, a União Europeia de Radiodifusão (EBU) e a Televisão Nacional Búlgara (BNT) confirmaram que o Eurovision 2027 será realizado na cidade de Burgas, localizada no Mar Negro, na Bulgária.
The contest is set to be staged at Bulgaria’s newest sports and entertainment venue, Arena Burgas. The venue, which opened in 2023, holds up to 15,000 people for live concerts.
Burgas is Bulgaria’s fourth-largest city, and is known for its beaches, parks, cultural life and vibrant summer events, per the EBU. It also already has a strong reputation for hosting music, arts and international cultural festivals.
The city was selected after a competitive Host City process involving four Bulgarian cities.

Martin Green CBE, Director of the Eurovision Song Contest, said: “We are delighted that Burgas will be the Host City for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.
He added: “For the first Eurovision Song Contest ever to be held in Bulgaria, we want to create something that feels truly Bulgarian while also being unmistakably Eurovision – a celebration that brings people together through music.
Green concluded: “Together with BNT, the City of Burgas and our partners across Bulgaria, we are looking forward to creating an unforgettable Eurovision week in May and welcoming the world to Burgas.”.
Milena Milotinova, Director General of BNT, added: “It was an intense and highly competitive process, so congratulations to Burgas! With this victory comes great responsibility, and I hope the ultimate winners will be the many international visitors who come to experience Burgas.

Dimitar Nikolov, Мayor of Вurgas, said it was “an exceptional honour for us to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2027”.
Nikolov added: “This is not about one city hosting Eurovision. This is Bulgaria hosting Eurovision – an entire community, united and inspired.”.
Further information about the participating broadcasters, ticket sales, and the wider programme of live events in Burgas for Eurovision 2027 will be shared in the coming months.
Eurovision host cities from recent years have enjoyed significant economic boosts. Liverpool saw a €66million increase in 2023, Malmö €40million in 2024, and Basel €58million in 2025.
The latter also generated a reported €272million surge for Switzerland nationally.

The announcement of next year’s host city comes shortly after Eurovision shared some rule changes for countries at war during the competition.
