Erykah Badu e The Alchemist anunciaram seu aguardado álbum conjunto – ouça o novo single ‘Witch Doctor’ abaixo.
The Texas singer-songwriter has teamed up with the Californian producer, DJ and rapper on the collaborative self-titled record, which is released on Friday August 28 via Control FREAQ/Young.
Co-produced by the pair, the forthcoming project was recorded over 18 months in Dallas and Los Angeles.
The LP is described as “the inevitable collision of two iconoclasts: hypnotic, funny, blunt, deeply personal, and impossible to categorise neatly”, per a press release.

A tracklist for the upcoming record has not yet been revealed.
The duo are scheduled to embark on a UK and European tour this autumn, including two shows at the new London jazz cafe Blue Note. This leg will follow a North American trek throughout next month.

Badu’s most recent studio album, ‘New Amerykah Part Two (Return Of The Ankh)’, was released back in 2010. Last year, she confirmed that she was finally working with The Alchemist on the project’s long-awaited follow-up.
