In an interview with Resident Advisor, Tresor. West operator Dimitri Hegemann put the closure down to a mixture of "declining visitor numbers, rising costs and changing nightlife habits.
Hegemann also revealed that they are "actively looking for someone who will carry this place forward," with applications for ideas open until 15th November.
Tresor. West – a sister venue to Berlin's iconic Tresor institution – opened in December 2019 inside a historic factory building. The club experienced success initially before eventually being confronted with the "bitter reality" faced by similar venues and struggling to survive.
