DaMetalMessiah announces FABRICLIVE. compilation featuring Novelist, Manga Saint Hilaire, Tailor Jae, more

Among the artists featured on the release are Novelist, Manga Saint Hilaire, Tailor Jae, Jinnal, Low End Activist, James Massiah, Jammz and more. You can pre-order a copy of the release from here.

I’ve always been interested in the different directions grime can be pushed, particularly the ongoing conversation around its place on the dancefloor," the London-based cultural curator and grime archivist said in a press release.

Esta compilação explora as possibilidades dentro do grime, reunindo artistas que abordam o som de diferentes perspectivas e o levam a novos territórios.

DaMetalMessiah added: "Grime hasn’t always been welcomed into clubs. When the police were putting pressure on promoters not to put on grime events, fabric was one of the spaces that continued to champion the sound.

Given that history, and fabric’s status as an institution in UK club culture, there’s something particularly meaningful about releasing a project through a venue that has played such an important role in preserving grime’s legacy.”.
