The Tennessee event, which was headlined by Skrillex this year, will take a break after two consecutive editions were hit by severe weather.
Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has cancelled its 2027 edition.
The decision comes after severe weather disrupted the festival in both 2025 and 2026, with organisers now giving the site in Manchester, Tennessee, a year to recover.
Skrillex was among the headliners at the most recent festival in June, while Four Tet, Sara Landry, Chase & Status, Major Lazer, Sub Focus, and Boys Noize also featured on the bill.
The event was severely impacted by storms, with multiple sets delayed or cancelled, some areas of the site temporarily closed, and attendees told to seek shelter at various points.
Organisers had already taken steps to improve the site’s resilience, including improved drainage and the laying of 135 acres of new grass, but said the repeated weather disruption had taken its toll.
Organisers confirmed that Bonnaroo will return in 2028, adding: “This wasn’t an easy decision, and not one we take lightly, but in our hearts, we know this break will only make Bonnaroo better.”.
