Yves Jarvis was last year’s Polaris Music Prize winner, for All Cylinders, while the inaugural song prize went to Mustafa for “Gaza Is Calling.” The prize money comes via the Slaight Family Foundation and SOCAN.
Other 2026 nominees included Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Rochelle Jordan, Peaches, and 2014 winner Tanya Tagaq.
