Taking place at new Greenwich Peninsula venue Magazine Open—Air on Friday (21st August), the show marked the duo’s first time playing together in the UK. The two-hour set kicked off at 8PM, but was briefly interrupted by a technical issue.
After taking over from FDJ, Lens and Landry’s opening track was interrupted by crackling from the sound system before the audio cut out completely. Landry then addressed the crowd, saying: “We’re having a technical issue, we’re gonna get it fixed and then we’ll be back with you.”.
The sound returned around 15-20 minutes later to cheers from the crowd, and the pair went on to deliver a high-energy hard techno set. Some attendees noted, however, that the volume remained relatively low, with conversations in the crowd audible over the music.
Magazine Open—Air has since apologised for the disruption, saying it experienced a “technical audio fault” that resulted in “no sound for a short time”. The venue said its team worked to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, but that the show’s 10PM curfew meant it could not extend the set.
The duo headed up a bill that also included FDJ, Dax J, DJ Hyperactive and Grace Dahl. Watch a series of clips from Lens and Landry’s set below.
